The new owner Azeem (forgive me if I'm misspelling her name), she is fabulous! I love her. She has many great qualities and makes you feel very welcomed. The service... read more is excellent, the food is the best. I think the food style has changed a little from the previous owner to the new owner, but still delicious. I noticed the rice texture is a little different than before, this might just be out of their control because it might be the rice that's available.
There are new items offered such as biriyani being available and some other combination options.
We tried the vegetable soup which was really nice, sadly we didn't photograph. The rice pudding is an excellent touch as well, super fresh and coconuty, sweet but not too sweet.
Sadly the fennel candy has been taken away, they used to have a little jar where you can scoop some out into your hand on your way out. That's been gone for a while now but I remember when they used to have it and I miss it.
The food wasn't as spicy as I usually like it, I think perhaps the chef is used to catering to the majority of clients who probably prefer spice level mild to none. For me I want it hot hot hot and it was maybe mild hot and not quite hot. I believe Azeem will hopefully tell the chef to not hold back with me and make it hot hot hot on our next visit.
Overall I still believe this is the best Indian restaurant in Los Angeles.

Had a lovely experience the other day. We were greeted by the most gracious host, and I believe co-owner. Felt like we were visiting friends. She was so welcoming. The... read more food was absolutely delicious! She gave us all a bowl of their tasty soup, which was on the house. We ordered two curries, naan bread and chicken tandoori. My 11 year old son couldn't get enough of the naan bread and tandoori chicken, and my daughter loved the butter chicken with rice. My husband and I were in heaven! There was nothing left to take home. We were completely satisfied with the amazing food and service. The ambiance is really nice too, and the restaurant overall is super cute. We'll definitely be back!
